The two maps depict the development that has been made in the Ryemouth village now compared to the year of 1995. Overall, there are noticeable changes in the forest area, the main road, and on the sea. It also impacting the housing location and fishing port.
In 1995, the east side of the village was covered with farmland and forest park. While all the housing location were only spread to the west side from the farmland, with one main way straight forward to the northwest direction. In comparison, the farmland and forest park is now convert to a golf field and tennis court. The housing located on the west along with the road is now spread to more distance.
To the south downside of the village showed a noticeable change especially for the market and fishing port. In 1995 the shops, and fish market are located in road side from the west to the east. Until reaching the end of the road which is a hotel and cafe located on the right and left side. Meanwhile, it is already transform now to a restaurant and apartments in the west. While the cafe remain in the same location, the car park is installed beside the hotel. Moreover, the fishing port in 1995 has now already been dismissed.
