The maps provided gives information about the present state of the nucleus of a small town named islip and its proposed future advancement.
Overall, the blueprint given for development of the centre of the town still maintained the same locations for shops at the centre, school at the south western part and park at the south eastern axis. The mapped out location will become more urbanized, there will be expansion of residential areas and a dual carriageway will be built.
The current condition of the site has a main road located between two arrays of shops lined up at each side, the ones to the north just by the country side while those to the south of the main road meets at residential areas. There is also a school and a park located down south with no linking road between them.
The expansion project shows that there will now be a dual carriageway encompassing the site and the main road now converted to wak ways for paedestrians. There will also be bus station, shopping centre, car park and a new residential area to the north end of the paedestrian walk way, the line up of shops to the south end of the paedestrian walk way stays the same.
