The provided blueprint exhibits the construct of the South Wing of Walton Museum in 2008 and in 2012 after it was renovated. An overview reveals that the south wing has recorded a multitude of alterations in the room and story numbers over four years.
As can be seen from the map, a special exhibition room, a store underneath the ground and a room for reading on the ground floor has stayed at the same site for four years . Besides, it is obvious that all three rooms in the basement increased in depth. Noticeably, the old cloaks room was converted into a playground for children, while the cloaks room was moved on to the reception.
Turning to the additions, there are five new areas was sprung up throughout the four-year period. The empty space in the left-hand side of the reception was replaced with an entrance hall with a terrace sitting atop. What is more, a self-service room was constructed opposite a restaurant which was in close proximity of the terrace. In addition, another space for exhibition was built up in the upper story with a roof. Finally, the stairs used were transformed into a elevator to have a connectivity between four floors.
