The picture above shows the difference between the town of Fosbury in 1980 and 2015. In the 1980s, that town hadn’t been fully developed yet. There are many empty parts of the town, including plain blocks, and a very wide field of grass.
Just by looking at the map it is visible that there has been significant development in the town of Fosbury in these 35 years. Between 1980 and 2015, there has been a change in the layout of the town. The park has been replaced by terraced houses and has been relocated to the middle of the town.
The public facilities like the tennis courts, hotels, and grocer’s shops have been upgraded to be more efficient. The tennis courts have been expanded to a sports centre which has a wider range of activities that can be done. There is also an addition of terraced houses, which used to be beside the hotel, now replaces the original area of the park. However, the houses with grey roofs remain in the same place.
It also can be seen that the roads have been enhanced to a roundabout so it will be easier to get around during busy days. The addition of multiple warehouses also shows the development of the town.
