The pictures illustrate the alterations in the layout of a student common room over the past 5 years.
Overall, the room has undergone significant changes. The most notable modifications include the addition of cutting-edge facilities, the expansion of a relaxing area, and the rearrangement of tables, making this room more contemporary and convenient.
Previously, 5 years ago, there were four round tables with chairs situated in the middle of the section. At the southeast corner of the room, there was a bookshelf. Along the northern wall, a cupboard occupied the northwest corner, with a sink adjacent to it. Additionally, a refrigerator was located in the northeast corner, and to the west of it was a microwave. Between the sink and the microwave were two benches.
Currently, the student room has seen considerable renovations. In the centre of the room, while two sets of tables remain unchanged, other tables have been merged to become a long rectangular table with more chairs. The existing bookshelf has been removed to make way for a lounging area containing a television and armchairs. Furthermore, a bench for laptops has been added in the central south. In the northern part, while the cupboard, sink, microwave, and refrigerator remain largely unaltered, one bench has been eliminated to make room for an additional microwave next to the previous one. Besides, a drink machine has been installed opposite the refrigerator.
