As the plan suggests, the library has only eight gates currently in a limited space with a walkway for transporting passengers. Further down to the departure and arrival areas, the former has a security passport control area and a single departure point, a check-in counter on the left, and a small café upon passing the security passport control. On the right-hand side is the space for arrivals, which has only one service point and passport control customs. The floor plan reflects the traditional setup of an airport.
Following the future development, passengers can expect twice as many as the number of gates, increasing from eight to eighteen. Instead of using a walkway, a sky train will be installed for transportation in the expanded corridor. What stands out from the modification on the departure section is the new shops before the security passport control and the additional departure point. Besides, the enlargement of the bag drop area and café, coupled with the extra car hire service, also signifies the advancement of the airport. On the other hand, the arrival area will be altered to include an additional arrival point and more modern facilities such as an ATM, a café, and a car hire station. The modification represents the airport’s future modernization.
