The maps illustrate how the coastal area has changed since 1950.
Overall, the beachfront has undergone commercial development, with the playground being removed. Most notably, the number of recreational facilities has increased, while the road infrastructure has been extended.
Looking first at the area closer to the road, in 1950, there was a playground, a car park, some dining tables and a pavilion arranged along the northern part of the area. However, over time, several changes have taken place, with the road being extended to the south-eastern part of the coast towards the lighthouse and another car park being added.
Turning to the coastal area, initially, there were two 25-metre swimming pools, but the south-western pool has since been expanded to 50 metres. Additionally, the beach has been commercialised with the addition of a restaurant in the western part and two surf clubs on either side of the coast. The lighthouse has remained unchanged, while the road has been extended towards it.
