The given maps illustrate Norbiton’s industrial area and the future development plans.
It is worth noticing that although Norbiton is currently an industrial zone, it will undergo more urbanization in the future. The area of farmland will be decreased due to residential construction.
Beginning with the current area of the town, the central area of the town is a roundabout that is surrounded by various industrial amenities and the roads running from west to east out of Norbiton. To the north of the roundabout, a river flows from west to east. After this point, the farmland is on the northern bank of the river.
Regarding the planned transform for the future, the most significant transformation is the all around area of the roundabout that will be encircled by residential buildings, including housing, school and health care center. A new road which will branch from the roundabout will separate the river and run to a new habitation beside the farmland. The school and the playground will be constructed to the south of the river after the area of the industry at the end of the old road linking the roundabout will make a way for the school.
