The two maps illustrate several changes to the Colwick Arts Centre between 2005 and today. Overall, there have been noticeable alterations to the structure of the location (with the exception of the Information Desk), including construction, destruction, and movement.
In the past, there used to be two buildings for the Gallery next to each other, to the east of the Colwick Arts Centre, whereas, over this period, it has been relocated to the west (in replace of the Meeting Room and toilet). In contrast, the Meeting Room was between the Toilet and the Snack Bar, while it has expanded into two separate structures and has replaced the Toilet.
On the one hand, the Concert Hall/Cinema was in the middle in 2005 (on the north side of the Information Desk), which was moved to the east along with an increase in size. On the other hand, the Toilet was transformed from the west to the east of the Colwick (exactly on the south side of the Concert Hall).
The significant change, however, took place in the south, where there was an unused place called Wasteland in 2005, and the Colwick Arts Centre created the stage, surrounded by planted trees and an Outdoor Exhibition and Performance Area.
