The maps illustrate the change of Huntingdon at present and the plan in the future.
It can be seen that, there will be various changes on the right of the plan while the opposite site will remain unchanged with the road being the significant change.
Now, there is a complicated ring road covering Huntingdon from other parts with various services. From the road A1, people can reach two parts of Huntingdon, the first one reaching the airfield. While the second one is connected with Brampton road, leading to the town center. There is a big railway station to help residents move easily in the town center. Meanwhile the A14 road is only taken part in from a roundabout in A1, located in the north. On the left of the map, there are various service systems for locals such as a town center, which are covered by the ring road. Additionally, a built-up area with homes or shops is built on the north of town center.
In the future, the A1 road will undergo various significant changes. On the south of plan, the A1 road will be narrowed and a lane reaching to the center, while at the middle, there will be a roundabout erected to help transports to move conveniently. Meanwhile, the Brampton road will be connected with the roundabout rather than the a1 road. The airfield on the north will be replaced by an industrial estate while the railway station, town center and built-up area will remain unchanged.
