In terms of the transportation links, the A14 route runs from the northwest to the southeast and crosses the A1 which is located in western section to construct an intersection here. However, in the future, the A14 will no longer stretch through the map, it will be rerouted and a new southern bypass will be constructed. The remaining part of the A14 will end at where it cuts the Brampton Road, which is in the middle of Huntingdon, and install a new roundabout. More obviously, the southern part of the A1 will be narrower and the Ring Road will be expanded by adding a new arc route to the south, so as the new A14 route will be connected with them tightly. Another striking change is the separation of Brampton Road from the A1 and it will be connected directly to the roundabout.
Turning to the functional buildings, the area which is now an airfield will be abandoned to pave the way for an industrial estate. Furthermore, the railway that is running from the north to the south will witness an expansion to link with the aforementioned industrial zones. Beside the significant modifications, the railway station located in the south, the town center in the eastern part encircled by Ring Road and the built-up area surrounding the center will remain unchanged throughout the period.
