The given drawings demonstrate appearance of a part of village over a 100 years period, starting from 1910.
Overall, it is conspicuous that the latter image appeared to be more crowded with extra houses as well as the increasement of novel facilities.
Firstly, in 1910, the school, the butcher and a residental house were chose to be located on School road at the western side of the image. London road was the place which the post office was constructed. Houses on High street were half sparser than its latter picture, with only 2 buildings recorded. Large house, grocer and baker were built in the triangular shaped space created by the connection of these 3 roads; moreover, there were also numerous trees grew in this area, making the environment greener.
Moving next to the year of 2010, the number of facilities on School road underwent a significantly change from 3 to 4 buildings; and to make it more detail, the new supermarket and bank were constructed, whilst the butcher was replaced by the parking lot. The post office remained stable on London road and there were 4 novel places of residence which did not exist in the previous image. The quantity of houses on High street was twice as many as the number from 1910. In the triangular shaped area linked by these 3 streets, a turn out was placed on London road; additionally, a great number of houses took the place that was utilized to plant woods. A cafe shop was located on this area also.
