The maps illustrate the present conditions and future development of a small town named Islip.
Overall, it can be clearly seen from the maps, after refurbishment, the town provides more additional amenities such bus station, shopping center and so on with an organize way.
At present, a main road connects eastern and western sides of the Islip town and both sides of the main road are occupied with shops. In the northern side of the road, remaining area is countryside after shops, while it is housing area in the southern part. An additional path connects main road with western and southern part where a school is located. The park is situated in the eastern and western side which is connected with main road by a path.
In the planned development, the main road surrounded by a dual carriageway and the carriageway link with both eastern and western sides. The main road replaces with pedestrians only. The shops remain unchanged in the southern part of the main road, but the countryside and shops replace with bus station, shopping center, car park and new housing area. The new housing connects with eastern side. In the southern part of main road, the housing is repositioned and new housing builds near the park area. Park and school location is same, but school and another housing situate outside of the dual carriageway.
