The given map illustrates the central area of a small town, Islap, and the plans for its future improvements.
From overall perspective, the northern part of the town center has been planned for a significant amount of future improvements compared to the southern part. The main focus of the project are the commercial facilities, transport facilities and residential areas rather than on the education and recreation sectors of the town.
At present, the commercial facilities are situated alongside the main road, with residences to the south and a recreation area and countryside to the north. The educational institution of the town is located in the southwest corner.
In the proposed plan, the central road will be reserved for pedestrians only. A new and improved dual carriageway will circle the town centre, connecting all areas. New facilities, including public and private transport will be added to the north. A new residential area will be built in the northeast and southeast, while the park will be slightly relocated to the east.
