The given map illustrates the conversions that have undergone in Meadowside village and Fonton, a nearby town, from 1962 onwards.
Overall, both Meadowside village and Fonton have transformed significantly, most noticeable with the changes in size and the addition of new recreational facilities, new commercial services, and a new traffic network.
From 1962 to 1985, Meadowside village and Fonton were broadened, with the former involving more facilities such as a new road running from the west and splitting into two branches, with the upper lane towards the north while the remaining one continuing eastward through Fonton. Moreover, there was the erection of a housing estate in the northwest, a superstore opposite the aforementioned service, and a leisure complex beside the curve of the road.
From 1985 to the present, Meadowside village has merged with Fonton into a large suburb. Additionally, a hotel and a station have been built on the north side of the street towards the east, with the station situated more closely to the fork in the road. On the other side, the construction of a new business park has taken place.
