In 1996, the town called Dorchester was a simpler area, with key features including residential housing with a lake in the middle in the western side of the area of the town. The town had a long river in the middle of the area and a road on the bottom that led to the shopping centre in the east. There was a small school that was next to the shopping centre. A green space with big trees was located north of the school.
By 2016, the town had seen extensive development. The most noticeable changes include the renovation of residential housing to apartment blocks and the school was relocated to the area of new residential complexes. The next alteration is that a new road was added in the north that leads to the new train station that is in the east. Additionally, the shopping centre was increased in size and a new parking was built next to the shopping centre. The last development occurred in the east side where a new cinema was established between the train station and the shopping centre.
Despite these changes, certain key features remained unchanged. The lake remains in the centre of the new blocks of flats area.Moreover, the river is still in the same position as in 1996.
