The given maps illustrate how the village of stokeford has developed since 1986.

Overall, the village has become more residential over the past 35 years, with significant changes occurring mainly in the eastern area.

According to the maps, the eastern part of the village has experienced dramatic development over the 35-year period. The most striking change is that the farmland in the northeast has been removed to make way for new housing areas. In addition, the primary school, which was previously located next to farmland, has been expanded. Another notable change is that the gardens have been cut down, and several houses have been constructed on this land. Furthermore, the large house situated near the gardens has been extended and converted into a retirement home.

In contrast, the western part of the village has seen relatively minor changes. One noticeable development is the demolition of shops located beside the post office. Additionally, some farmland in the southern area has been replaced by residential housing.
