The given maps demonstrate how the town of Denham has been altered from 1986 to the modern day.
Overall, over the period, the town was transformed dramatically from rural to urban with the addition of a retirement home and extended roads, while farmland has been totally removed.
In detail, previously, a significant amount of land was occupied by farmland and gardens. The road comprised one path with few shops and houses alongside. Additionally, there was a small primary school in the centre of the map and bridge in the north.
In comparison, the most noticeable change is that a large house and gardens have been demolished and replaced with a larger retirement home. Then, farmland in the south and north-east side has been totally destroyed and, instead, a considerable number of houses have been built along the road. Moreover, the road has evolved allowing better accessibility to new areas. However, the bridge and post office remained undeveloped.
