The images depict how Huntingdon looks now and the predicted transformations in the future.
Overall, Huntingdon town will go through several modifications, including the replacement of the airfield with an industrial estate, the addition of a roundabout, and changes to the A14 road. However, infrastructure such as the railway station, town centre, built-up area, and ring road will remain unchanged.
At present, there is an airfield located in the northern part of the town, which will be demolished to build an industrial estate in the future. Besides, a new roundabout will be constructed at the junction of Brampton Road to improve traffic flow.
The junction on Brampton Road will be converted into a new roundabout to improve traffic flow. However, the A14 road currently runs diagonally through the town from the south-east to the north-west, and it is planned to be rerouted towards the south-west and linked with the A1.
Conversely, the railway station near the junction of Brampton Road will not be changed. Similarly, the town centre on the eastern side, along with the ring road surrounding it, will maintain their positions in the future plan. Meanwhile, the built-up area, including homes and shops located to the north of the town centre, will also remain untouched.
