The map illustrates the development of a city since 1950.
From an overall perspective, it is evident that the city has experienced significant changes, especially in the center of the place. Specifically, this area has become larger and more accessible with the addition of more housing areas, business district, and transport infrastructure.
Located on the north bank of a river, the city accommodated a total of 20,000 people in 1950. Major roads that ran from east to west and from north to south intersected the business sector. There was an airport situated to the east of the city, and a government building located on the southern side of the river, accessed via a bridge.
At present, the population records at approximately 200,000 residents, a tenfold increase, causing the residential area to significantly expand in all directions. The river has been dammed to form a large area of the river near the city which has been a lake. Another business district has been established around the old government building on the southern side of the lake, as well as more government buildings further to the south of this area. A new road linking the southern and eastern roads has been constructed, while the airport has also increased dramatically in size.
