The exhibition room opposite the main entrance of the museum used to be an L-shaped building in 1990, but later it had been demolished to make way for the expansion of the shop, located to the left of the entrance. There were two separate exhibition rooms in 1990, but they were combined in 2010 to create one big building. Besides these, lying perpendicular to the merged exhibition rooms and next to the one facing the main entrance, the restaurant remained untouched throughout the period.
In 1990, there was a large garden to the left of the museum, and this remained unchanged in 2010. The cottage to the right of the museum had been replaced by a new cafe in 2010. The car park located opposite the garden in 1990 had been expanded 20 years later thanks to the clearance of the garden.
