The maps illustrate the changes in the layout of a small museum and its surroundings between 1990 and 2010.
Overall, the area of land remained unchanged in size and shape with the road retaining its original border. However, there were several significant transformations in the configuration with the addition and removal of some features.
In 1990, the structure had two buildings featuring a main road in the south and two gardens in the north of the layout, along with a path connecting these two buildings. The left museum building included a large entrance, leading to four exhibition rooms: one large and one medium room in the bottom-left corner next to a shop, and two smaller ones in the top-right corner beside a store room. Meanwhile a cottage facing the main road was able to be accessed from the path. The opposite building included a car park at the top and another garden at the bottom.
By 2010, the area of land and most facilities remained unchanged but some were removed from the layout. The removal of the medium exhibition room resulted in the horizontal expansion of the shop but it was reduced in vertical size, which allowed the entrance to be enlarged. The cottage was replaced by a new cafe but narrowed slightly. Furthermore, the indoor garden in the right building was replaced by an additional car park.
