The pictures illustrate the development of Wilden’s town between 1990 and the present. Overall, the area has been transformed from an industrial area into a residential zone.
In 1990, at the top of the town, there were two factories. Nearby, a transport depot was located on the left side, while a park was situated on the right. Houses were located behind these buildings. Meanwhile, at the bottom of town, there were four factories, a cafe, a waterfront, and a river. There was a horizontal road in the center.
At present, the transport depot has been demolished and turned into a green area. The factories which were situated at the top have been removed, and the park has been relocated to this area, which has been expanded into mini golf course. In addition, two houses have been knocked down and a community center has been introduced on this side. Additionally, the factories have been replaced by blocks of flats. The cafe, which was previously positioned on the right side of the factory area, has been removed and replaced by a restaurant on the left side of the new apartment blocks.
