The layouts illustrate the modification occured in Kingsley since 1950 until today. Overall, the rural settlement has undergone some significant developments and urbanisations over this period. The town has become more residential and modern, devoting agricultural areas and green zones.
In 1950, the western side was covered by woodland, while the eastern side was mainly used for farming. There were few houses and an only shop at the lower section. However, at present time more housing estates have taken place in the northern west and southern west sides. Housing facilities on the upper section came at the cost of woods, providing more living facilities for more individuals. Farmland, on the other hand, completely removed, making place to the huge car park and supermarket. The small shop located below the eastern side of river, was replaced by school.
It is evident from the graph that new educational and living facilities introduced to the Kingsley. Throughout this period, the river running from west to east, together with the bridge and main road remained unchanged.
