The two maps show the transformation of an university sports centre between 2007 and now. Overall, the sport centre has become more modernised with the introduction of a range of customer amenities. It is also clear that the majority of changes took place in the southernmost part of the building.
In 2007, the sports centre used to offer a few facilities for its visitors. At the centre of the site, there was a swimming pool alongside a teaching buildings, while the south of the pool was a tennis court. Three teaching huts, arranged from the smallest to the largest, occupied the southeast section of the area. In addition, a football pitch, with natural grass was located in the northern part of the site.
By now, major changes have been made. In the south part of the building, medical facilities have been introduced, including a laboratory, a first aid room and a clinic. While the swimming pool has remained intake, the tennis court has been replaced by a squash court.The teaching facilities room has remained in the same location but have been expanded in size. The football pitch also have remained untouched but has been designed for all seasons and a new running track has been built around it. A new two-storey teaching facility has been constructed which resulted in the disappearance of temporary teaching hut.
