The pictures illustrate the process to manufacture tomato ketchup.
Overall, there are 15 main stages, beginning with harvesting, transporting and selling to the public.
To commence with, the ripe tomatoes are picked and put into baskets by the farmers. These vegetables were then sorted in warehouses to eliminate unqualified tomatoes. The better ones are transported to the factory, removing tomato’s stalk, seeds and skin, by trucks. Next, they are crushed in a container. To enhance the flavor, this liquid is added with some ingredients such as sugar, vinegar and salt before being boiled.
After being left for two hours to allow it to cool, this mixture is then poured into the bottles. To make it attractive, the workers label the brands. Following that, these complete ketchup bottles are controlled for their quality by professional experts to ensure their safety before packaging into the boxes which are delivered to the supermarket. Finally, customers can use tomato ketchup as sauce for eating fast food such as hamburgers and fries.
