The two maps illustrate the main changes which have taken place in the town of Shipsmouth between 2000 and today.
Overall, it appears that Shipsmouth has been modernized with shift industrial entertainment facilities toward new residential, transport infrastructure and sporting developments.
A noticeable change is that a church was knocked down, and a new pub has been erected in its place in the south-east side of the town. Furthermore, to improve a local transport, a new station has been constructed next to the pub with is the city center that has been pedestrianized. The area in the south-west used to have green spaces was cut down, and blocks of new apartments have been introduced.
If we look at the north-west, the factory has been transformed into a shopping center, and a football stadium has been built nearby the old station in that part of the town. An interesting development that an airport has been constructed to industrialize the transport system in the north-eastern side. In addition, the eastern side of the city old houses has been turned into skyscrapers.
