The chart illustrates comparison between various kinds of energy production in France in the year 1985 and 2005.
Overall, gas and coal represented the highest share in both the given years whereas, nuclear and other energy rose significantly from the year 1995 to 2005. Additionally, the production of gas and coal was almost equal in 1995 and increased by same proportion in 2005.
In both the year, gas and coal was the most produced gas while nudear and other remained at the bottom. Around 58% of segment was covered by gas and coal which experienced a slight pick up and reached 60% in 2005. The production of petrol dramatically plummeted ‘from 29.27% in 1995 to 19.55% in 2005.
On the other hand, nuclear almost doubled the production from 1995 accounting for 6.40% to 10.10% in the year 2005. Following similar pattern, other energy possessed 9.10% in 2005, but it was twice as less in 1995(4.90%). There was a minimal variation in gas and coal production in the give time frame. However petrol exhibited downward trend while nuclear and other energy gradually improved from 1995 to 2005.
