The data displays the spread of students by their gender and by the course that they are pursuing at a well-known university in the year 2020.

Overall, the proportion of male students is slightly higher than female students. The majority of male students are in engineering while the female students are almost equally split with business leading the rest.

A whopping 40% of the male students study engineering which is the clear majority and about 20% pursue business. Arts and humanities and science are similarly distributed at 15% each while education and other courses are at a negligible 5% each.

Only 1/10th of the female students pursue engineering and about 1/4th study business which is also the majority. On contrary to the male students, science, education and other courses are almost evenly split at around 15% each with arts and humanities being slightly ahead of them at 20%.
