The two given pie charts illustrate the percentages of industry sectors’ contribution to the economy of Turkey in two years: 2000 and 2016.
Overall, healtcare and education was the same ,17%, in both years. In 2000 agriculture was 24% , but in 2016 it dropped to 14%. Construction and manufactruring both increased in the given years.
In 2000, the contribution of the government to the economy was 12%, and it fell down to 9 per cent in 2016. Finance and business (other) was at 5% in 2000. Sector of leisure and hospitality in comparison to trade, utilities, and transportation ,14%, was seventeen per cent.
In 2016, there were some changes in many of the sectors. Construction and manufacturing increased up to 10 and 12 per cent, meanwhile agriculture dropped from 24 per cent to 14. Healthcare and education on the other hand remained still at 17%. Sectors of finance, business (other) had a slight increase, 8%. Trade, utilities, and transportation sector contributed to the economy by increasing for 2%.
In conlusion, all sectors had a slight chagne except healthcare and education.
