The two pie charts illustrate the result of a survey of children’s activities which are cultural and leisure activities, participated by both boys and girls.
Overall, although most of boys participate in computer games, that of girls in reding which is, however, the least favorite activities for boys and gymnastics for girls.
Looking at the percentage of participants of boys, the majority of boys take part in computer games ( at 34%) and followed by basketball at over one-fourth of the total (26%). The proportion of boys involving in soccer account for nearly one-fifth of the total (17%). Over one-tenth of boys engage in listening to music and skateboarding (10% and 11%) respectively. However, reading is the least favorite activities for boys (2%).
Regarding the proportion of girls’ participations, dancing is the most favorite activities for girls (27%). The percentage of taking part in reading make up approximately one-fifth of girls (21%). Moreover, around one-fifth of girls participate in netball and computer games (15% and 16%)respectively. By contrast, the minority of girls engage in listening to music and gymnastics, accounting for over one-tenth of the total girls.
