Looking from a general perspective, power stations had the highest rate, while waste disposal and treatment were the lowest. In addition, transportation fuels and industrial processes were almost same. Recovery and processing of fossil fuel were slightly lower compared to other field, as land-use practices and biomass burnings, but still greater than 10%.
Annual greenhouse gas outputs by power stations in the United States of America accounted for 25.3%. In contrast, waste management reached only about 8.4% and considered to be the least contributed industry.
Manufacturing processes and the fuels used for transportation reached 19.4% and 18.1%, respectively. Whereas, 13.1% were contributed for land use and biomass burning. Moreover, fossil fuel retrieval and processing represented 15.7% (approximately 16%).
