Overall, the highest value in billions of dollars was reported in year 2000. Canada imported majority of fish in first year which went down, in comparison to other pursuits that followed an upward trend.
The table shows that the total value of fish imported was 6.57 billions of dollars in 1988 which rose to 8.52 in 1992. The highest amount, 10.72 was witnessed in year 2000.
In terms of sources, Canada acounted for 60% of fish import in 1988 which went down to 34% in 1992 and further decreased to 28% in the final year 2000. China followed an upward trend starting with 13% in year 1988 and went upto 30% in 2000. Other countries initially acounted for 27% and went up to 46%, followed by a downafall in last year at 42%.
