The pie charts given illustrate the shares of different age groups in the populations of Brazil and Germany in 2000 and some forecast for 2050.
Overall, the percentages of seniors in both countries are going to go up by 2050. However, an average age will be higher in Germany than in Brazil.
Examining the details, in 2000, the percentages of adults were equal in both states, with shares at 65%. However, Brazil had more than twice as big segment of youth (30%) as Germany (13%). On the contrary, there was a completely opposite situation in terms of seniors. While more than one-fifth of German citizens belonged to this age group, the figure was only 5% in the case of Brazil.
As for the future projections, in Brazil the percentage of adults will increase by 5 %, reaching 70% by 50. However, the share of the same age group is going to significantly decline in Germany; from 65% to 48%. The percentages of youth segments will decrease in both states, with Brazil experiencing a far dramatic fall in the figure (from 30% to 17%). Finally, in both places, the shares of seniors are going to become far higher by 2050. Specifically, in this segment Brazil will experience an 8% rise, while in France this figure will go up by 18%. – give me an ielts task 1 band score.
