The pie chart below demonstrates the sources of energy used and predictions within 2008 and 2030 respectively in Australia.
Overall, coal was highly used in 2008. In contrast, oil will be the most used energy source in 2030. Solar energy will become no more useable as an energy source by 2030. Gas will be increasingly used in 2030 compared to in 2008.
According to the illustration, the Coal proportion will significantly decrease in 2030 from 39% to 27%. While oil as a source of energy will be widely used by 2030 rather than in 2008. Solar energy will disappear from the energy sources list and a new source which is geothermal will be used instead of solar which equals 4.30%, solar was used in 2008 at 1.30% which was approximately 3.5 times that of geothermal. There is a noticeable jump in the gas correlation in 2030, it will change from 22.90% to 32%.
There will be a decline in the percentage of other sources of energy from 3.80% to 3.60%. Wind as a source of energy was used by a percentage of 0.30% but the predicted percentage of using it as a source of energy will become around 1.20% which was a great leap.
