Overall, It is obvious that in Malaysia families were willing to spend the most on Housing, while the highest figure in Japan belongs to other goods and services. Additionally, Health care sector has the least spending in Japan and Malaysia, with 6% and 3%, respectively.
In 2010, in terms of transport, we can clearly witness that expenditures in Japan were double compared to Malaysia. This is also the case when it comes to health care sector, which is half the spending in Malaysia compared to Japan. regarding the food sector, both countries received almost the same attention in terms of expenditures, with 24% for Japan and 27% for Malaysia. Moreover, Housing figure has the highest proportion of spending compared to Japan, at 34% and 21%, in turn. According to other goods and services, the case is the same as what we mentioned in the food sector in terms of similarity in expenditures, with 29% for Japan and 26% for Malaysia.
