The two pie charts demonstrate data about the changes in the energy production of 5 sources (gas, coal, petro, nuclear and other) in France over a decade. Units are measured in percentages.
Overall, it can be seen that coal made up the largest percentage in both years, while other sources remained in the lowest position. Also, every kind of energy resource, except petro, followed a similar pattern by increasing in the production. Petro was the only energy resourse that dropped over the period.
The production of coal slightly rose from 29.80% to 30.93% between 1995 and 2005. Likewise, gas represented the similar growth by approximately 0.68% accounting for the second largest proportion of energy sources in both years. The percentage of nuclear was higher than other energy sources consisting to 10.10% by 2005; however, other resources represented a greater increase in the percentage ( by 4.2%) compared to nuclear.
Regarding petro, there was a sharp decrease in the proportion from 24.27% to 19.55%, but still this category produced a higher amount of energy than nuclear and other sources, which both provided an increase.
