Two given pie charts display the diversity and percentage of students who occupy different attended degrees in the University, also showing the difference between two time periods, 1975 and 1990. The table below provides information about the degrees’ classification.
We can clearly see from the 1975 pie graph that the most frequently obtained degree is in Business, with 29%, while Computer Science settled at only 1%, being the most unpopular one. Humanities and Science & Technology are sharing almost the same percentage, with only a 2% gap between them.
The 1990 pie graph shows that Business is still one of the leading degrees, but yielded its crowned place to Humanities. Computer Science noticeably experienced a sharp rise, evolving from 1% to 18%. Comparing other degrees’ attendance level rates, only Fine Art & Music degrees remained static, with dwarf changes occurring in others.
In conclusion, both the 1975 and 1990 pie charts can define Business, Humanities, and Science & Technology as the most popular major degrees. In contrast, Fine Art & Music, Political Science, and Medicine remained as unpopular degrees among the students.
