The pie charts compares various types of book were sold by bookseller from 1972 and 2012. The quantity are measured in proportion.
Overall, it is clear that all genres of books were erratic throughout the period. Additionally, others types of book outnumbered that of others at the beginning, albeit with adult fiction exceed that of unclear books at the end.
In 1972, unclear types of books was more, with 25%, compared to 15% by travel. Notably, other three types of books (adult fiction, biography and children’s fiction) similarly remained stable, at 20%. Next year was 1992, where adult fiction took the leading position, at 25%, while biography and travel genres were at 18% and 15%, respectively. Moreover, children’s fiction was much more prominent as opposed to others. The former was 22%, and the latter was 20%.
As for 2012, adult fiction carried on it’s position at the top, with 45%, followed by children’s fiction, which accounted 25% and lastly was biography, at 8% with having low position among other. Finally, others types of books was higher by 2% (12%) than travel 10%.
