The pie chart provides information about the proportion of students taking part in different cources on the one adult education centre between 1985 and this year.
Overall, it is clearly evident that the percentage of students remained unchanged for fitness and dance course in both year, undergoing a decrease in both art and modern laguages course. In this year, there was a new course called IT, which was replaced with music appreciation and local history in 1985.
Looking at the graph more closely, one can see that in 1985, the modern languages accounted for largest percent of students, making up one-fourth of the pie. However, this data went down 7% in this year and ranked third in all courses. Notably, the percentage of students joining fitness and dance stayed at 22% and obtained the second place in both years. There was minimal decrease in number of students in art course, dropping from 17% to 15%. An increase trend was seen on the proportion of students participating in cookery, went up 5% compared to 1985.
In 1985, 15% of students took part in local history course, which doubled the percentage of students in music appreciation. Nevertheless, both courses was disappeared and IT was introduced in this year. Although IT was the newest course, its percentage of students was the highest among all courses surveyed in both years, representing 27%.
