The pie charts illustrate the proportion of students in an adult education center, taking various courses offered in 1985 and this year.
Overall, it is evident that there have been many changes, namely the vanishing and appearance of some courses, and some fluctuation of the existing ones.
Initially, in 1985, there were a total of 6 courses with varying data. Staying at the top was Modern languages with 24% of the students took this courses. Fitness and dance was next on the leaderboard with 22% of the students took the offer. Art, Local history and Cookery had 17%, 15% and 14% ,respectively, of the total students. And lastly, Music appreciation stayed at a humbling 8%.
However, in this year, 27% of the students are occupied with IT making it the highest of the list, even though this course was not a thing in the 1985 chart. Fitness and dance remains unchanged after almost 40 years, with 22% of students taking the course. Cookery has gained 4% more, standing at the third highest with 19%. Modern language takes the biggest downward trend, dropping from the highest in 1985 to the second lowest in this year with 17%. Art becomes the lowest of the second chart, with only 15% of the students taking this course. Music appreciation is the one that disappears.
