Skateboarding constituted slightly more than one-tenths of the total which was negligably higher than traditional activities such as listening music(10%). Reading appeared as a marginal share attracting only 2% of boys.
By comparison, dancing(27%) and reading(21%) are dominant activities among girls. While girls engage themselves in netball(15%) or in gymnastics, constituting the same proportion as skateboarding in boys, they prefer playing digital games(16%). Girls listening to music makes up the same share as for boys.
