The pie charts illustrate the percentage of each film genre as an Oscar winners in both years 2003 and 2008.
It can be seen that Thriller is the most dominant genre in both years, whereas comedy constantly be the least favourite.
The charts show there was a decrease in thriller genre which went from 42% to 35%. The simmilar trend can be seen in the action genre, experienced a minor decline from 13% to 12%. On the other hand, increase trend can be seen in horror genre which went from 7% to one tenth of the chart in 2008. Science fiction also underwent a slight increase from 10% to 11%.
While other genre fluctuated, romance and comedy genre remain the same over years. Romance serve as 12%, while comedy 3%.
