The chart provided illustrates the groups of electricity generation by fuel in Australia and France between 1980 and 2000.
Overall, it can be noticed that coal was the major energy in Australia over the period. While in France, nuclear power rocketed in 2000.
On the one hand, the main unit in Australia was coal, accounting for half of the group in 1980 and over three fourths in 2000. In 1980, natural gas and hydro power shared the same amount of units. Additionally, oil was the least used in 1980 with 10 units. Moreover, hydro energy underwent a slight increase in 2000. Furthermore, a negligible amount of units are recorded in oil and natural gas during 2000.
On the other hand, natural gas and coal in France experienced the same number of groups with 25 units during 1980 . Followed by that was oil with 20 groups in 1980. Moreover, nuclear power took up one sixth of total production and the least amount of units was hydro power. In 2000, nuclear power was the necessary part with half of the total generation. Additionally, coal and oil have the same amount with 25 units. Furthermore, natural gas and hydro power experienced a negligible amount of units.
