The three pie charts compare the proportion of social media users among five different age groups on three different social media apps namely Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
Overall, it is clear that the age group for 18-34 and 35-49 had the highest share. While 65+ age group of people use social media lesser than of others.
Looking at the details, young adults and middle age group dominated using the social media. The share of 18-34 age group using Facebook and YouTube was nearly similar (29% and 26%, respectively.), while 40% was true for Twitter. Moreover, the utilization of Facebook was 30% among people aged 35-49, this group shared the same percentages for YouTube as well as Twitter at 29%.
In 50-64 age group, the usage of YouTube, Facebook, Twitter was responsible for approximately a quintuple of all age groups share (19%). Additionally, 9% of teenagers (10-17) use Twitter and nearly 14% of them choose Facebook along with YouTube (15%). Over 65 age group responsible for less share for all social media apps, around 4% to 10%.
