The pie charts compare the quantity of volunteers by different types of companies in 2008 and 2014. Overall, it is clear that the proportion of volunteers in the major of organizations changed significantly except health care. Notably, the figure for environmental volunteers dominated in both years.
Looking at the shares of volunteers by organizations which increased, all companies experienced significant rise with the exception of health care. In 2008, the share for environment accounted for 21%, having climbed to 29%, the share reached the highest point in both years. Additionally, at the beginning the figure for sport was at 15%, whereas in 2014 this rose by 10 percentage points. Meanwhile, the proportion of healthcare stayed as the lowest point in both years since it made up 7% in 2008, and in six years it increased by 1 percentage point.
Turning to the share for volunteers from companies that experienced a downward trend, the proportion of all companies reduced sizably. In fact, the share for education made up 24%, which was the highest point in 2008. Subsequently, that declined by 7%. Moreover, the figures for art and others accounted for 18% and 15% at the beginning. Later, they reduced to 12% and 9% in the final year, respectively.
