The charts illustrate the comparison of different kinds of energy manufactured in a region over a period of 20 years starting from 1983.
For a overall perspective, the proportion of energy produced by oil and coal decreased, while the figures for natural power and nuclear gas were witnessed an opposite tendency. Also, oil was the most significant sources in both years.
In 1983, energy produced by oil accounted for the highest rate, at 42% of the total energy production. The figures for coal and natural power were slightly lower, at 23% and 20% respectively. Meanwhile, only 11% of the total energy production was generated by Natural gas and the lowest figure can be seen in the percentage of energy produced by Hydropower, at 4%.
In 2003, the percentage of energy from oil declined insignificantly but remained the highest figure in the chart, at 38%. The figure for coal fell notably to 13%, while that for nuclear power experienced a dramatic roar of 21%. There were a slight upward trend in the figures for natural gas at 24% and a stability in the rate of Hyropower during period.
