The pie charts show different information about the 10 most popular university subjects at a New York university in two years.
Overall, economics had the largest popularity in 2000 and it is predicted to become the most popular subject in the future as well. Mandarin as a chosen subject was the least popular, and it will also be marginal in its popularity in 2030. Only mathematics will be equally liked in the given years.
According to the chart of 2000, economics’ percent was 24%, and also science represented a big segment overall with one in five. As can be expected, the percentage of economics will show a slight rise to 30% by the future,and science will stay the second favored subject with 16%. Subsequently, accounting and business studies started with 5% and possibly will increase to 9% and 11%. Beside this, mathematics will remain similar percentages in both years, at 10%.
On the other hand, the interest in engineering and English among students was 15%, in prediction, it will decrease to 5% and 2%. Also, the percent of popularity of the following subjects was 3% for cyber security, 2% for art and design and 1% for Mandarin, and there will be a negligible rise of them to 5%, 9% and 3% by 2030.
