The pie charts represent data about the 10 most popular university subjects at a New York University over 10 years period. One of the subject’s figure remained flat, while the others increased and decreased slightly.
Overall, all categories remained under 50% and reached a peak at 30%. In both pie charts, the highest proportion was economics, whereas the lowest one remained mandarin. Other categories, such as cyber security, buisness studies, accouting, and e.g changed just slightly.
The highest persentages in 2000 were economics and science, accounting for 24% and 20% respectively. In 2010 economics rate increased by 4%, while on the contrary, science proportion decreased by 4%.
Engineering and english persentages both started at 15% in 2000, similarly to buisness studies and accounting figures, which made up 5% in 2000. However, in 2010 engineering and english percentages fell to 5% and 2% respectively. On the other hand, buisness and accouting rates rose to 11% and 9% respectively, overstepping previous categories.
The last categories, such as cyber security and mandarine increased to only 2% over 10 years, accounting for 5% and 3% respectively. Art design rose from 2% in 2000 to 9% in 2010, on the contrary, mathematics remained unchanged, making up 10%.
