Overall, it is apparent that museum and gallaries were the primary attraction places for visitors, while the opposite trend could be recored for wildlife parks and zoos. Additionally, the remaining attractions held an stable proportion throughout each year, with a significant increase in the number of visitors to these places.
In 1981, around 29.1 million people visitied mentioned places in the UK. Nearly half of them prefered to visiting museum and galaries, 3 times and one and a half higher compared to those visiting historic house and monuments and theme parks. Conversely, a minimal proportion was recorded for wildlife parks and zoos, at 4%.
In 1999, the number of visitors increased significantly, reaching 41.5 million people. However, the percentage of people visiting museum and gallaries decreased to 38%, equal to those visiting theme park.
